Goodship K's 10 En Route to 7-0 Superbas Win
Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Newark Gunners home opener. Ramón García started for the home team against Scott Goodship for the Rockville Superbas. The Gunners were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 7-0, Rockville. Scott Goodship, though, was impressive.

Goodship made it look effortless. He scattered 3 hits over 7 innings, while racking up 10 strikeouts. The Rockville left-hander encountered little resistance from the Newark hitters. His season record is now 1-0.

Goodship told a Rockville Daily News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
