Gunners Win at Rockville, 7-3
|
Stan Joyce was a vital contributor to the 7-3 Newark victory over Rockville. The Gunners left fielder was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times. Newark raised its record to 25-23 with the win.
It could have been a different outcome for Newark, had it not been for Arturo Colón, the two-time Golden Glove Award winner . Colón contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Newark up, 4-3.
