The Rockville Superbas got a stellar performance from pitcher Scott Goodship, who handcuffed the Philadelphia offense en route to a win, 3-1, at Rock Creek Sports Complex. The save went to Marcos Rivas, number 16 for him. The win makes Rockville 23-26.
In the bottom of the fourth, with Rockville leading 1-0, Warren Simpson hit a fastball from Sergio Vargas for a solo home run, giving the Superbas the lead, 2-0.
"Every loss hurts," said Philadelphia manager Jon Lyons. "But this was a tough one."
