Bums Score 8-1 Win Against Newark
|
Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Bums beat the Gunners.
The timely hitting of Zale Panayiotopoulos helped the Brooklyn Bums down the Newark Gunners, 8-1. Panayiotopoulos went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Bums. Brooklyn now has a 3-game win streak.
An impactful at-bat came in the bottom of the first inning. With the bases loaded, the batter, Bob James, drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It made the score 1-0, Brooklyn, and helped them go on to win.
"We maximized our offense today," said Brooklyn skipper Kirk Medlin. "That makes everyone's life easier."
