Reynoso Lifts Bums to 7-3 Win
|
Behind the hitting of Roberto Reynoso, the Brooklyn Bums stopped the Poughkeepsie Sheriffs, 7-3. Reynoso was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Bums. The victory gives Brooklyn a record of 36-36.
Brooklyn took a 5-3 lead on Bob Burton's 12th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Burton hit in the top of the eighth, left Poughkeepsie pitcher Dermot Hollis shaking his head.
"Enjoyed this one," Reynoso told the Brooklyn Citizen. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
