Bums Deal Grays 6-4 Defeat
|
The Brooklyn Bums stopped the Washington Grays, 6-4, at Grays Ballpark. The Bums got a big game from Roberto Reynoso, who went 2 for 2 with a double and 3 walks. He scored 2 runs. Brooklyn reliever Álex Díaz picked up the win to move to 3-3. Hakeem Ayoob suffered the loss. Eduardo Soto, credited with the save, is now 6 for 10 in save opportunities.
Brooklyn relied on the bat of Ricardo Moya to get the win. The left fielder ripped a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bums ahead, 6-4. For the game, Moya had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
"We take it day by day here," said Reynoso, "and today was a good one for us."
The victory puts Brooklyn at 29-50.
