Sheriffs Walk It Off for 44th Win of Season
Poughkeepsie Sheriffs starter Charlie Follows pitched a strong game against the Newark Gunners at Sheriffs Ballpark, leading the Sheriffs to victory, 4-2. Poughkeepsie reliever Dermot Hollis picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Yao-bang Seow shouldered the loss. The triumph puts Poughkeepsie at 44-36 for the season.

When he came to bat in the bottom of the ninth, Ta-heng Jiang had a chance to be the hero. Newark pitcher Yao-bang Seow had other ideas. But with two outs, Jiang hit a walk-off 2-run home run. The Sheriffs had themselves a dramatic win.

Jiang attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
