Bushwick Stadium hosted a real pitchers' duel.
Brooklyn starter Cristo Pérez put a stranglehold on the Poughkeepsie offense. The right-hander had complete command of his cutter in leading the Bums to a 2-0 win. The Bums go to 34-53 with the win.
Pérez, who was born in Soledad, Mexico, threw 99 pitches over 8 innings, while allowing no runs.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Pérez said after the game.
