Superbas Win 5-4 Walk-Off

The Superbas grabbed a win, 5-4, at Rock Creek Sports Complex, overcoming a fine effort from Poughkeepsie pitcher Davis Short. Short went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs. Yukinaga Takahashi, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on no hits. Rockville is now 2-6.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Rockville trailing 4-3, Alfonso Sánchez hit a fastball from Dermot Hollis for a 2-run home run, giving the Superbas the walk-off win.
"This place was rockin'," Sánchez said.
