Brooklyn got a strong outing from Virgil Brown as the Bums defeated the Newark Gunners, 5-2, at Bushwick Stadium. Mauro Valdéz notched his 2nd save in 2 chances. Brooklyn has now won 3 straight, while the Gunners have lost 10 in a row.
