McDougall Helps Bums Beat Grays, 10-6
|
Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Washington Grays take on the Brooklyn Bums.
Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Christian McDougall, the Brooklyn Bums defeated the Washington Grays, 10-6. McDougall went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 for the Bums. The Bums sport a record of 42-68.
One of the key players for the Bums was shortstop Joaquín Muñíz, who drilled a 2-run single in the top of the third inning. For the game, Muñíz went 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I just tried to make good contact," said McDougall.
