Rockville starter Ambrose Sanders had a strong outing against the Philadelphia Haymakers at Rock Creek Sports Complex. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. After today's action, Rockville sits at 51-59; Philadelphia slips to 60-50.
Pedro Quintanilla took Will Jardine deep in the bottom of the first. His 2-run home run put the Superbas on top, 2-1. In all, Quintanilla had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Rockville manager Ray DeRoy said.
