Washington Beats Brooklyn, 5-2
|
Washington picked up a win at Bushwick Stadium, bumping off the Brooklyn Bums, 5-2. Pitcher Gabresilassie Hodari was a major reason the Grays emerged victorious. Hakeem Ayoob earned his 26th save in 34 chances. Washington is 4th in the Southern League with a record of 59-65.
Baltwin Roks, the two-time All-Star , had a direct impact on the outcome. Roks contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Washington up, 1-0.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Hodari.
