Golden Giants Take Down Sasquatches, 5-4
The Saint John Sasquatches and Halifax Golden Giants provided some drama for the home crowd.

Saint John second baseman Rob Ávila had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 5-4, to Halifax at Saint John Stadium. Ávila was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Halifax pitcher Ramiro Casas got the win. He's now 1-0. Júlio Pacheco was tagged with the loss. The save went to Louis Hutchinson, his 3rd this season.

Tolek Budrewicz was a prime factor in the win for the Golden Giants. In the top of the eighth with one out, the two-time All-Star hit a 2-run single. He was 2 for 5 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.

"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Budrewicz told the Halifax Times.

The Golden Giants, now 3-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.
