Sasquatches Lose to Steamrollers, 5-1
|
Providence starter Joshua Farquharson put a stranglehold on the Saint John offense. The right-hander had complete command of his splitter in leading the Steamrollers to a 5-1 win. The win has Providence at 6-7.
Mark Maddox, the two-time Golden Glove Award winner , had a direct impact on the outcome. Maddox contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put Providence up, 3-0.
"I thought we played a nice game," Maddox told the Providence Citizen. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
