The Bangor Lumberjacks got a stellar performance from pitcher Sancho Hernández, who handcuffed the Moncton offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Resurgo Stadium. The winning pitcher was Hernández, now 3-0. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 5. Norm Turner got the save, the 4th for him this season.

Bangor took a 3-1 lead on Brenden Povey's 4th triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which Povey hit in the top of the seventh, left Moncton pitcher William Williams shaking his head.

"We played hard and won," said Hernández. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'

The win has Bangor at 11-7.
