Win Lifts Golden Giants to 12-12
|
The Halifax Golden Giants picked up a win at Golden Giants Stadium, knocking off the Moncton Bucks, 5-1. On the mound for Halifax was right-hander David Marroquín, who played a pivotal role in the win. The win puts Halifax at 12-12.
The game could have flipped with one out in the top of the second. But David Marroquín made what his manager later called "an A-plus pitch." With runners on 1st and 2nd and Moncton trailing 2-0, Marroquín threw a fastball to Magnus Glas and Glas hit into a double play.
