Bangor Gets 6-5 Road Win
|
Both teams had their chances, but the Bangor Lumberjacks eventually prevailed.
The Bangor Lumberjacks trumped the Saint John Sasquatches, 6-5, at Saint John Stadium. Bangor designated hitter Dan Bradshaw was terrific. He was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Ron Martin finished the game for Bangor and earned his 1st save.
Bangor relied on the bat of Dan Jackson to get the win. The right fielder ripped a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Lumberjacks ahead, 5-2. For the game, Jackson had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Jackson.
The loss makes Saint John 13-9.
