The Halifax Golden Giants defeated the Bangor Lumberjacks, 3-2. Doing his part was left fielder Diego Barrios, who went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. The winning pitcher was Gabriel Browning. He's now 2-3. He went 8 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits for the Golden Giants. Louis Hutchinson collected his 8th save.

William Mayer had a productive at-bat for the Golden Giants with one out in the top of the eighth. With the bases loaded, the second baseman hit a sacrifice fly. The at-bat was important in the Halifax win.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Barrios said.

Halifax, now 13-14, holds down third place in the Northern League.
