Sasquatches Prevail, 3-1, Over Fredericton
|
Saint John Sasquatches starter Jami Skyttä turned in an exceptional performance against the Fredericton Salamanders at Saint John Stadium, resulting in a Saint John win, 3-1. The win puts Saint John at 15-11.
The Sasquatches got a big at-bat from designated hitter Anwar Naif. For the game, Naif went 1 for 3 with a double. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season gave Saint John a 1-0 lead.
"Feels good to get the job done," Naif said after the game.
