The Moncton Bucks got a complete game effort from starter Craig Corderey to move into a 2-2 tie with the Brooklyn Bums in the best-of-9 The King's Cup.

The Moncton right-hander went the distance at Bushwick Stadium, cooling off the Brooklyn Bums and striking out 3 to help Moncton take the 2-1 win that knotted the series.

The Bums had few good swings against Corderey, the right-hander, who threw 130 pitches over 9 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 3 hits.

"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Corderey.

Game 5 is scheduled for Wednesday, September 19th, 1956 at Bucks Ballpark. The scheduled starters for the game are Justin Gibson for Brooklyn and Craig Corderey for Moncton.
