The Saint John Sasquatches picked up a win at Saint John Stadium, knocking off the Halifax Golden Giants, 7-3. Starting pitcher Juan Bernard was a big reason why. Bernard picked up the win for Saint John, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 4-1. With the victory, the Sasquatches upped their record to 21-13.

Alaric Hamann dealt the Golden Giants a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Saint John leading 2-1, Hamann, who led the NL in wins above replacement with 9.2 in 1983, hit a first pitch changeup for a 2-run single.
