Golden Giants Lose to Bucks, 4-1
|
Moncton Bucks starter António Castro turned in a top-notch performance against the Halifax Golden Giants at Resurgo Stadium. The result was a win for the Bucks, 4-1. Castro picked up the win for Moncton, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 3-1. The 5th-place Golden Giants have dropped 4 straight games.
In the bottom of the third, with Moncton leading 2-0, Troy Baker hit a fastball from Gabriel Browning for a 2-run double, giving the Bucks the lead, 4-0.
Baker told a Moncton News reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
