Golden Giants Upend Bucks, 11-4
|
Behind the hitting of Arran Ainslie, the Halifax Golden Giants stopped the Moncton Bucks, 11-4. Ainslie was 2 for 5 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Golden Giants. Michael Richards earned the save for Halifax, his 1st of the year. Halifax, at 18-20, occupies third place in the Northern League.
With Halifax leading 2-1 in the top of the second, Ainslie hit a slider from Terho Forsbacka for a 2-run double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Golden Giants ahead, 4-1.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Ainslie.
