Steamrollers Lose to Bucks, 3-2
|
The Moncton Bucks defeated the Providence Steamrollers, 3-2. Doing his part was first baseman Les Young, who was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Providence has now lost 4 consecutive games.
Young had a timely hit for Moncton in the bottom of the seventh. With Providence trailing 2-0, he turned a 1-1 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season, making it 3-2, Moncton.
Young told a Moncton Chronicle reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
