Salamanders Deal Sasquatches 5-0 Loss
|
Fredericton Salamanders starter Vasile Grovu pitched his team past the Saint John Sasquatches, 5-0. Fredericton is now 22-28.
The Salamanders grabbed the lead in the top of the third. With two out, Manny Pacheco, who is tied for 7th in the NL with a .377 on-base percentage, hit a 2-run home run off Jesús Chacón, putting Fredericton in front, 4-0. For Pacheco, it was his 11th home run of the season.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Grovu said after the game.
