Bucks Need Extra Frames to Get Past Salamanders
|
The Moncton Bucks took Fredericton pitcher Alfredo Enríquez's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Swerdlove Stadium. The final score had Moncton getting past the Salamanders, 4-3. Enríquez went 8 innings and allowed 3 runs, striking out 2. The winner in relief was Scott Cove. He is now 4-3. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. Moncton raised its record to 32-21 with the win.
The Bucks scored in the top of the tenth when Jammu Karila hit a run-scoring double to make the score 4-3, Moncton.
"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Karila. "I just want to win ballgames."
