Bucks Top Fredericton, 2-1
|
Moncton rode a fine outing from starter Sebastian Sewell to victory over the Fredericton Salamanders at Swerdlove Stadium. The final score was 2-1. The winner was Jason Brown in relief. His record improves to 6-0. Alfredo Jiménez took the loss. Moncton now has a 3-game win streak.
Moncton used a timely hit from Troy Baker to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bucks ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"I felt good up there," said Baker. "I saw the ball well."
