Steamrollers Edge Golden Giants, 4-3

The Providence Steamrollers did just enough to sneak past the Halifax Golden Giants, 4-3, at Golden Giants Stadium. Providence pitcher Joshua Farquharson, in particular, had a standout performance. In 6 innings, Farquharson surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 5. He allowed 2 runs. Getting the save was Charlie Minto, his 4th.
Having an impact for Providence was Rodrigo Lugo. In the top of the second inning, the former first round draft pick had a 3-run home run to make the score 3-0, Steamrollers.
After the game, Providence manager Matt Haynes applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
The Steamrollers raised their record to 22-32.
