Steamrollers Bump Off Sasquatches, 7-2

The Providence Steamrollers beat the Saint John Sasquatches, 7-2, at Steamrollers Ballpark. Denny Reed, in particular, was impressive. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Providence pitcher Joshua Farquharson got the win. He's now 4-7. Juan Bernard was tagged with the loss. Providence is last in the Northern League with a record of 25-33.
In the bottom of the fifth, Providence center fielder Rodrigo Lugo had a run-producing at-bat. Facing Saint John hurler Juan Bernard, Lugo hit a sacrifice fly. That made the score 3-2, Providence. For the day, Lugo was 1 for 3.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Reed told the Providence Citizen.
