Saint John starter Jesús Chacón pitched well against the Halifax Golden Giants at Saint John Stadium. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-4. The win belongs to Donald Moore in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Michael Richards took the loss for Halifax. The slumping Golden Giants have dropped 10 in a row.
The Sasquatches procured the win, in large part because of designated hitter Mauro Cardona. In the bottom of the 14th, he produced the game-winning solo home run.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Chacón.
