Sasquatches Nip Golden Giants, 5-4
|
Saint John picked up a win at Saint John Stadium, toppling the Halifax Golden Giants, 5-4. Pitcher Juan Bernard was one of the reasons the Sasquatches triumphed. Saint John reliever Graham Wooddisse got the win, raising his record to 8-2. Michael Richards was tagged with the loss. With the win, Saint John pushed its record to 39-25.
Saint John took a 5-4 lead on Alaric Hamann's 4th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Halifax pitcher Michael Richards in the bottom of the eighth.
"I like to lead by example," said Hamann. "I'm glad I could contribute to a good win."
