Steamrollers Lose to Sasquatches, 4-1
|
Saint John starter Héctor Pérez put a stranglehold on the Providence offense. The right-hander had complete command of his curveball in leading the Sasquatches to a 4-1 win. Júlio Pacheco was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 4 save opportunities. With the win, Saint John upped its record to 44-31.
Ger Klerk, the Saint John first baseman, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the third inning to make the score 2-0, Sasquatches. For the game, Klerk was 1-3. He drove in 3 runs.
