The Moncton Bucks faced a tough opponent in Providence pitcher Tom Threlfall, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Resurgo Stadium by a final score of 6-5. Threlfall went 0 innings and allowed no runs. Moncton reliever Jason Brown picked up the win, upping his record to 7-0. Charlie Minto was saddled with the loss. Moncton is now 51-30, 5½ games up in the Northern League.

Juan Tornero clinched the win with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the ninth. In the game, the Moncton pinch hitter drew 1 walk in his only trip to the plate.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Moncton manager Joel Odenbach.
