Halifax picked up a win at Golden Giants Stadium, toppling the Providence Steamrollers, 5-4. Pitcher Jason Murdoch was one of the reasons the Golden Giants triumphed. Halifax reliever Louis Hutchinson picked up the win, raising his record to 1-2. Charlie Minto was tagged with the loss. The Steamrollers, now 37-56, have lost 11 in a row.

Halifax won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With no outs and Charlie Minto on the mound for Providence, designated hitter Gerardo Macías hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Golden Giants fans to their feet.

Murdoch called the triumph "a good team win."
