Bucks Lose, 6-4
|
Moncton center fielder Spike Haynes had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Haynes went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, even as Saint John beat the Bucks, 6-4. The winning pitcher was Héctor Pérez. He tossed 76 pitches over 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits. Moncton has now lost 6 straight.
Alaric Hamann had a key at-bat with two out in the top of the second for Saint John. With the bases loaded and the Sasquatches leading 1-0, he hit a 2-run single.
"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Hamann told the Saint John Daily News.
