Salamanders Rally For Late Win Over Golden Giants
|
The Halifax Golden Giants got a sterling performance from pitcher Gabriel Browning, but the Fredericton Salamanders still prevailed, 5-2. Browning threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball. The winner was Fredericton reliever Roberto Gabriel, now 1-4. The loser was Ramiro Casas. The Salamanders now have a record of 34-69.
Fredericton took the lead in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Miguel Dicochea stroked a 2-run double to make it 3-2, Salamanders.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Dicochea. "And not try to do too much."
