3-1 Loss to Sasquatches Extends Fredericton Losing Streak
|
Todd Baldwin pitched well, but the Fredericton Salamanders still lost the game, falling 3-1 to the Saint John Sasquatches at Saint John Stadium. Saint John has now won 3 straight, while the Salamanders have lost 7 in a row.
Mauro Cardona, who finished 3rd in the SL in OPS with 1.075 in 1987, aided the Saint John cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the third. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 4.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Saint John manager Jason Russell. "Our pregame was pretty good."
