Bucks Lose to Salamanders, 3-2
|
The Fredericton Salamanders got a strong performance from pitcher Vasile Grovu, who stymied the Moncton offense en route to a win, 3-2, at Swerdlove Stadium. The Salamanders now own a record of 52-62.
Making an impact for the home team was Alaric Hamann. In the bottom of the fifth, the five-time Golden Bat Award winner had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 3-1, Salamanders.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Grovu.
