Bucks Lose to Sasquatches in Walk Off
|
Getting an impressive start from Graham Wooddisse, Saint John beat Moncton by the score of 2-1. Saint John now has a record of 65-51 with the win.
When he came to bat in the bottom of the ninth, Mauro Cardona had a chance to be the hero. Moncton pitcher Scott Cove had other ideas. But with no outs, Cardona hit a walk-off solo home run. The Sasquatches had themselves a dramatic win.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Cardona told the Saint John Observer. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
