Rossell Hits 2 home runs in Steamrollers Win
Samuel Rossell added some punch to the Providence offense, helping them outmuscle the Saint John Sasquatches, 13-12. In the game, Rossell, who finished 4th in the NL in RBI with 74 in 1988, was 2 for 2 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5. Tom Threlfall snagged the win in relief. In 3.2 innings, the left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit. He's now 3-3 on the season. The Steamrollers improve their record to 51-67 with the win over Saint John.

A key moment came with two out in the bottom of the seventh. That's when Steamrollers left fielder Almas bin Da'ud hit a sinker from Yukinaga Maruyama for a 2-run double, putting Providence up, 13-12.

Saint John manager Jason Russell expressed his frustration after the game: "That many runs and it still wasn't enough?"
