The Halifax Golden Giants used an offensive barrage to beat the Moncton Bucks, 11-2, at Resurgo Stadium. Gerardo Macías led the way, going 2-for-4 for Halifax. Halifax pitcher John Bryant got the win. He's now 10-9. Terho Forsbacka was tagged with the loss. The Golden Giants now own a record of 52-67.
Tolek Budrewicz, who is tied for 6th in the NL in extra base hits with 42, chipped in for Halifax with a run-scoring walk in the top of the second. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Moncton manager Joel Odenbach. "We got flat-out beat."
