Game was big. So was André Potier.
The Liverpool starter rose to the occasion at Bushwick Stadium today, earning player of the game honors after leading the AC to a crucial 9-3 victory over the Brooklyn Bums. Potier threw 9 innings of 8-hit ball as the AC won on the road to seize a - lead in the best-of- The King's Cup.
Adrian Walcott, who is rated as the 75th best prospect by BNN, aided the Liverpool cause with a 2-run single in the top of the first. For the game, the designated hitter was 1-3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Walcott told reporters after the game.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow in Brooklyn. Slated to start are Scott Hoskins for the Liverpool AC and Luis Castillo for the the Brooklyn Bums.
