Cantú on a Tear, Hits for Cycle
It was a special day for Juan Cantú at Westerns Ballpark today. Not only did Cantú's Brandon Spruces beat the Winnipeg Westerns 13-3, but the second baseman hit for the cycle along the way.

The 26-year-old Cantú racked up 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to get his name in the record books. For the game, he went 4-for-5 with 1 RBI and 3 runs scored.

"He hit everything we threw," said Westerns manager António Hidalgo. "There was just no getting him out today."

Speaking to the press after the game, Cantú said his goal for the day had been to look for "first pitch fastballs."

"I got some good looks today," he said.

Juan Cantú singled in the 2nd, tripled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, grounded out in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Mark Jardine in the 8th and walked in the 9th.

This season Cantú is batting at a .370 clip with 3 home runs and 23 RBIs.
