With starter Bobby McLean leading the charge, the Saint John Sasquatches defeated the Moncton Bucks, 3-1, in Game 3 of the Division Finals today. The right-hander threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball at Saint John Stadium to help Saint John take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Kalijan Pewar didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 3rd and Moncton trailing 3-1, Pewar retired Jorge Maturana to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Pewar, with a wink.

Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow at Saint John Stadium. The scheduled starters for the game are Javier Cugat for Moncton and Tara Ringrose for Saint John.
