Almost There: Philadelphia On Cusp of ACBC Triumph After 4-3 Win
|
An all-important Game of the ACB Championship went into extra innings at Steamrollers Ballpark, with the Philadelphia Haymakers eventually emerging on top. Philadelphia has Mauro Cardona to thank, after the center fielder was 3-5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once in the 4-3 victory. The Haymakers are now one game away from the Round 3, holding a - lead in the best-of- series.
Tony Daley's hit in the top of the 12th was a game-changer. With no one out, he rapped a fastball from Aindreas McKillicane for a solo home run. It put Philadelphia in front, 4-3.
Daley called the win "a collective effort."
The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Steamrollers Ballpark. Slated to start are Yakamochi Taguchi for the Philadelphia Haymakers and Juan Romero for the the Providence Steamrollers.
