Almost There: Manchester City On Cusp of TBLC Triumph After 3-2 Win

Game was big. So was Michael Washington.
The Manchester City starter rose to the occasion at Saint John Stadium today, earning player of the game honors after leading the Baseball Stars to a crucial 3-2 victory over the Saint John Sasquatches. Washington threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball as the Baseball Stars won on the road to seize a - lead in the best-of- TBL Classic.
Yazid Ayman aided the Manchester City cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the catcher went 1-4.
"We're going to have to play flawless baseball from here on out," Saint John manager Jason Russell said. "Which, let's face it, we haven't been doing lately."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow in Saint John. Slated to start are Yohanes Solíz for the Manchester City Baseball Stars and Eric Anderson for the the Saint John Sasquatches.
