Almost There: Newark On Cusp of ACBC Triumph After 7-4 Win
Newark designated hitter Toby Dronfield was the key at Steamrollers Ballpark today, being named player of the game as he powered the Gunners to victory in a critical Game of the ACB Championship. The Gunners took the 7-4 win over the Providence Steamrollers to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.

The game turned with no one out in the top of the eighth when Dronfield hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the Gunners into the lead, 6-4.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Dronfield said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

The next game is scheduled for Monday. Slated to start are Ben Jones for Providence and Tariku Naadir for Newark.
