Almost There: Moncton On Cusp of ACBC Triumph After 3-2 Win
|
The Moncton Bucks are now one game away from a sweep of the Cardiff Alliance after a dramatic walk-off win in the 13th inning at Resurgo Stadium today. Bucks right-hander Carlos Ibarra was named player of the game in the 3-2 victory for a strong outing in which he threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. Moncton holds a - advantage in the best-of- ACB Championship.
Wop Ouwens chipped in for Moncton with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the 13th. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 6 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"Our team showed some gumption," said Ibarra. "I like it."
The next game is scheduled for tomorrow in Moncton. Slated to start are Aidan MacChrystal for the Cardiff Alliance and Raúl Ríos for the the Moncton Bucks.
