Almost There: Halifax On Cusp of ACBC Triumph After 6-2 Win
Halifax catcher Ilya Eliashberg was the key at Sheriffs Ballpark today, being named player of the game as he powered the Golden Giants to victory in a critical Game of the ACB Championship. The Golden Giants took the 6-2 win over the Poughkeepsie Sheriffs to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.

Eliashberg had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the sixth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Golden Giants went on to win.

"If it's down the middle," said Eliashberg, "you might as well hit it."

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Sheriffs Ballpark in Poughkeepsie. The scheduled starters for the game are Bill Fisher for the Halifax Golden Giants and Pedro Maes for the the Poughkeepsie Sheriffs.
